I only use Silhouette Studio to test DXF files before I post them for sale, and they always work fine whenever I converty and SVG to a DXF in Inkscape. Another box pops up and I do NOT change any of the defaults that Inkscape has here. The box to save your file to your computer will pop up (I use Windows, it may differ with other systems) - where it says "Save as Type" click on the arrow to get the drop down menu and choose Desktop Cutting Plotter (.dxf) and click SAVE. Once the file is open, make sure it is selected (bounding box with little arrows pointing inward) and then go to FILE > SAVE AS. Next, open Inkscape, and go to FILE > IMPORT. Ok - so you have your SVG file and you have Inkscape. You can easily convert an SVG to a DXF for free with Inkscape. If it works for you, you would not have to change every file at one time, but maybe as you use them.While all of our sets come with both SVG and DXF files, you may have some SVG files that you need to convert to a DXF file, especially if you use the free Silhouette Studio software that only accepts DXF files. Copy from Silhouette and see if you can paste into Graphtec Studio. You can download Graphtec Studio now from the Graphtec website, Have both programs open. You could try this also, Although I don't know anything about Silhouette. I also had Graphtec Studio open and out of the way a little, I was able to paste that Flexi file into Graphtec Studio. I opened Flexidesigner imported a Flexi file, Highlighted the file and copied it. I just tried something that you may be able to do, I have Flexidesigner which is also it's own format. Ideally, I'd like to be able to use the CE6000 with Silhouette Studio. Both are products of Graphtec Corporation and it really makes no sense to have virtually identical software programs that are not able to open each others' files. It appears an earlier version of silhouette had an option to export files. I have never used Silhouette studio so i won't be of much help. Then hopefully it might embed the vectors in a file. can you try "printing" it as a pdf without saving it as a jpeg. Here's a quick overview on the basic-, designer- and business edition features: Silhouette offers some software upgrades, i'm wondering if the upgraded software, has the ability to somehow save the files in the correct format. Have any of y'all had any luck converting your existing files? I was therefore hoping, that i could open all my Silhouette files in the Graphtec software, but no. I've noticed that the Silhouette Studio software and the Graphtec Studio software look very alike. Last weekend i ordered a brand new Graphtec CE6000-60, which i just received a couple of hours ago. It treated me very good, but while my business grew, the cutter became too small. I've been using the Silhouette Cameo with Silhouette Studio.
